California Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board affectionately referred to as “the system.”

I am using this category and tagging to help organize my Workers Compensation cases. This will contain journaling and information about my case which began in 2001 when I was 20 after injuring my neck in two levels(neck fusion 2007.12.03), lower back and left shoulder while on the job installing a 90lbs 2U rack mount server above my head. Since 2004, I have had to fight for many of my medical rights as an Injured Worker in the State of California against the Quasi-Governmental Insurer of Last Resort, State Compensation Insurance Fund. SCIF is constantly attempting to run me through many doctors, use ex parte communication, faulty Utilization Review Denials, and any other trick they can muster it seems.

I am Pro Per, I am winning.

I am a medical cannabis/marijuana patient for many reasons, mainly because it works best for me as compared to traditional medicines I have tried, anti-depressants, Cymbalta(had severe chest pains), Neurontin, Wellbutrin, analgesics such as Vicodin/Hydrocodone/OxyCotin/Tramadol or other major addictive substances like opiates which drug companies decide to heavily mix with acetaminophen, that could kill you by itself BTW. Also the sleep drugs such as Ambien, synthetic hallucinogens and other sleep aids they’ve put me on, have very undesired effects. To name a few of my other reasons for medical cannabis, chronic pain, lack of appetite, sleep, stress, and anxiety. I am also fighting to continue to receive psychological(psych) counseling, massage, acupuncture, and chiropractic care and treatments which provides added relief from the injuries I have sustained.
