President Barack Obama, “Medical Cannabis is between Patient and Prescribing Doctor”

Listen very closely. The audio kind of sucks.

Did President Barack Obama just say that Medical Cannabis is between a patient and a doctor?

On a recent trip to Minnesota at a Town Hall style meeting in Lower Hannah’s Bend Park, President Barack Obama was taking some questions. One woman prompted with a question about Medical Cannabis. Her question was,

“If you can’t legalize marijuana, why can’t we just legalize medical marijuana, to help the people that need it?”

Obama responded:

“Well, you know, a lot of states are making decisions about medical marijuana. As a controlled substance, the issue then is, you know, is it being prescribed by a doctor, as opposed to, you know — well — I’ll — I’ll — I’ll — I’ll leave it at that.”

The President stammered his thoughts about how he thinks it should be a decision between a patient and their prescribing doctor. The next question raised was about the term “ObamaCare.” The President thinks it is a flattering term, because “He Does Care.”

If you do care so much Mr. President, would you please actually show that you care to help me and the other medical cannabis patients in states which allow it’s administration for relief and medical benefits?

I could really use a job.

Healthcare Costs A Lot In America: Why Your Stitches Cost $1,500

Medical Costs 22 Healthcare Costs A Lot In America: Why Your Stitches Cost $1,500

Key Points:

  1. Providers charge more because they can.
  2. They can charge more because it is a hugely complex mess of privatized insurance systems, which exponentially increases the amount of administrative costs, accounting for around 21% of the excess spending.
  3. Our Doctors are overpaid. They make 5x on average the person whom they are paid to care for.

My thoughts:

I would also bet that the insurance systems could save massive amounts of money by switching to a paperless system, that provides them, the patient, and their doctors immediate access to full-text searchable and imaged medical records of the patient on demand. They should also be forced to adopt encrypted digital methods for transportation and communication with those they insure. Every 1oz envelope costs at least $0.40 currently when bulk mailed. How many people are there who have insurance? How much does it actually cost to have digital communication abilities in this day and age for a single person? Maybe $20/month for DSL at home in some markets. Possibly up to $60-80 if your only option is wireless broadband, like 3G data or the new fake 4G data, and LTE. I’d also like to see the info-graphic about how much the lawyers are screwing the health insurance system with their salaries, wasted time demonstrating abusive litigation tactics, and delay methods. Perhaps even one including the Judges installed by those from within the system to protect the system of ensnarement?
